Scariest Places in London: Thorpe Park
Ok, so Thorpe Park isn’t technically in London but it is worth the schlep to Surrey. After all, it’s the proud home of SAW: The Ride. The first ever roller coaster based on a horror movie. The promise of bearing down at a 100 degree angle from 100 ft above got my adrenaline rushing way before stepping into the park. Friends who have been on it already are keeping hush hush about the rumoured genius scares in store as the ride leads up to the drop. Hopefully the ride won’t make me as nauseous as the movies.
While the park officially opened for the season this month my friends and I are waiting for the warmer weather to go on. While Saw, Colossus and Stealth are fun all year round I’m not sure I’m brave enough to get soaked on the Tidal Wave until the sun returns to England. Of course there’s always souvenir shopping to indulge in if I can’t get to all the rides. As I hear it there’s some pretty good candy stores too!
