A is for Athens, Greece: Not only is Athens the largest city in Greece, but it’s one of the oldest in the world, with plenty of ancient monuments to show for it. An afternoon of sightseeing will undoubtedly take you to the Parthenon on the Acropolis; just don’t forget that there are canals, tombs, sanctuaries, and beaches to explore too!
B is for Berlin, Germany: Though once thought to be home to little more than war ruins, Berlin has become a thriving cultural city. Festivals take place throughout the year, and the city is home to the original technicolour Love Parade. Visit one of the many art museums or galleries around the city, take a historical tour, or see the famous Blue Man Group.
C is for Cádiz, Spain: Located at the very southernmost tip of Spain, Cádiz is home to some of Spain’s most beautiful beaches. E is for Edinburgh, Scotland: She may not have been spotted in years, but that doesn’t mean you can’t go looking for the ol’ Nessie while you’re here. Take a tour of the Scottish Highlands on your way to Loch Ness, and see some beautiful old Scottish castles on your way. If you’ve got any Scottish heritage, look up your own clan. Mine’s the Mackenzie clan of the Highlands (we’ve even got our own castle)!
F is for Florence, Italy: Often considered to be the birthplace of the Renaissance, Florence has lost none of its old-world charm. Visit the homes of Italian greats, like Michelangelo and the Medici family, walk through famous the Uffizi Museum, and be sure to try some of the local Chianti region’s vino while you’re there.
